Chasing Mavericks
There are movies that convey emotions and sensations so incredibly well that you can truly feel them while watching, and one of those films is Chasing Mavericks.

The story of world-famous Californian surfer Jay Moriarity is truly inspiring and keeps you captivated until the very end. At the age of 16, he conquered some of the most dangerous waves in the world — Mavericks — and appeared on the cover of Surfer magazine.

The film has everything — love, friendship, triumphs and setbacks, willpower, and breathtakingly beautiful cinematography. I highly recommend it to everyone who believes in the impossible, as well as to all future wave conquerors.
EVERYTHING CAN BE OVERCOME WHEN YOU HAVE A GOAL
When Jay reached the crest, a strong offshore wind prevented him from going any farther. Moriarity fell into the water from a height of almost 10 meters and was then swallowed by the wave. He remained underwater for more than 20 seconds.
But Jay not only survived — after the fall, he spent another five hours in 10°C water and caught eight more waves, after which he appeared on the cover of Surfer magazine and became famous around the world.
Surfing is the sport of kings. Not everyone can handle the massive waves off the coast of California. They are known as Mavericks and can reach heights of up to 25 meters.
